SeaSnax

Seaweed is Strange

Our ingredients are anything but.

Seaweed is a nutrient-rich snack made from the finest ingredients on Earth. It’s vegan, gluten free, Non G-Mmmmm-O and is made with only 100% organic extra virgin olive oil and just a pinch of sea salt.

Our ingredients are beautifully ordinary. Yet they are sourced from extraordinary places from all over the Earth (and sea). And we’ll never use artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

Finally, each batch of Seasnax must past a rigorous taste-test performed by our head of R&D – who just happens to be the daughter of our founders, Jin & Ben.

If she doesn’t like it, we don’t use it. Seasnax comes in several fin-tastic flavors and is available in Sheets, Chomperz, Stix and SeaSprinkes.

Description

SeaSnax is a Non-GMO Project Verified roasted seaweed snack which is Vegan, Certified Paleo, Gluten-Free, Keto Certified, and made with all natural ingredients with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

The seaweed that goes into SeaSnax is called porphyra, red algae or deep purple laver, also referred to as Nori in Japan and Kim in Korea. The seaweed used to produce SeaSnax is sustainably harvested, roasted and packaged in Korea. Many Westerners are still somewhat unfamiliar with eating sea vegetables but in Korea and many parts of Asia, it’s a part of almost every meal . We are a small family-run business and take care to source only the finest quality seaweed to make our products.

SeaSnax is a socially conscious, kid-inspired family business. The founders are moms and dads whose kids eat seaweed like candy, and they contribute 10% of their annual profit to give back to organizations that are committed to making the world a better place.

Many nutritionists believe sea vegetables are one of the healthiest foods on earth. Research indicates that seaweed is rich in vitamins (B1, B6, C) minerals such as iodine, calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper and selenium, and other trace elements that are necessary to maintain good health.

The Founder Jin Jun earned her Masters in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Yo San University. During her studies, she developed an interest in nutrition as a tool for disease prevention and empowerment, viewing nutrition as medicine for the soul and the body.

While in school, Jin gave birth to her daughter Namu (which means tree in Korean) where her appreciation for nutrition and health gained more relevance as she realized that it was no longer about herself, but her family as well. In her commitment to educating and empowering families, she founded Acuparents, an on-line support community for parents in the healthcare profession to share natural and holistic-minded parenting philosophies.
